General Information

 

Wishing Wells Baby Care is separate from our senior classes, and has its own nappy change room.

 

Wishing Wells Nursery School has four large classrooms, 3 bathrooms.  A well shaded play area, two sandpits and a cycle track. Separate area with clambering / climbing apparatus.  A variety of outdoor toys, bikes, balls, building blocks, water play and dress up clothes.

Our Terms and Structure

 

  • Monthly Statements are emailed or given to parents at the end of the month.

  • A 10% discount is offered if two siblings are enrolled at Wishing Wells Nursery School.

  • The school must be notified as soon as possible of any changes of address or telephone number.

  • A spare set of clothes must be sent with your child every day.  Accidents do happen!

  • If your child is not yet potty trained, you are asked to supply an adequate supply of disposable nappies, wet wipes and creams.

  • The formal nursery school is relaxed during the GDE school holidays and our Holiday program is followed during this period.

  • Wishing Wells Nursery School remains open throughout the year, with the exception of the 3 – 4 weeks over the Christmas/New Year period and public holidays.

  • School Readiness Testing (at cost to the parents) for Grade 0 children during their final year at nursery school.  The Grade 0 class follows a highly specialized program, which follows the GED Grade 0 curriculum with the introduction to THRASS.

  • Educational shows and entertainment are arranged throughout the year and you will be advised of any costs prior to the activity.  

  • Fund raising events eg Valentines Raffle, Easter Parade Mini Walk are held through out the year.  Money raised is used to replenish and upgrade Wishing Wells Nursery School.

  • Newsletters will be given to parents or can be found on the website under the parents section.

  • A professional photographer takes individual and class photos photographs – once a year and this is an optional service to our parents.

  • We are connected to Armed Response and we an automated gate entrance. A car attendant is on duty outside the premises during peak periods.

  • All classes are asked to supply a stationery pack.  You will be advised of contents and cost at the close of our December term.

  • Our staff are trained in CPR and first aid.
